Workout Tracking Update

We are moving our WOD tracking to SugarWod !!! All you need to do Download it from your app/play store. Create an account and Select CrossFit Swarm as your gym You are good to go. All workouts will only be posted on Sugarwod. You will receive notifications from SugarWod right on your phone what the WOD is for the next day (you can turn this feature off). Exporting BTWB data We are going to be keep your access to beyondthewhiteboard Available until Jan 27th 2017, so that you can get your old data. The only data that can be exported is Benchmarks and Lifts If you don’t have tons of benchmarks of lifting data. You can easily just enter your information into Sugarwod.  If you go to your Logbook you can enter in your lifts and benchmarks If you have tons of data you need to export a file and send it to Coach B. http://support.beyondthewhiteboard.com/kb/general/exporting-your-workout-results-to-a-csv-file If you have any questions on how to do this then contact Coach B and I will help...

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT : Mike Russell   Tell us a little about yourself (occupation, family, hobbies, etc). I’m a firefighter/paramedic, My wife is Tammy( also a longtime swarmer) we have 2 sons, Mike(13) and Ryan(12). We stay pretty busy year round with the kids different sports events! we like to travel when we have time. How was I Introduced to CrossFit Swarm? I had been hearing radio commercials for a different CrossFit gym and wanted to check it out. Then Brian Cleland (one of swarmer originals) told me about swarm. The rest is history. How long have you been CrossFitting? 3 and a half years My favorite Movement/WODs Pull-ups, Bench press, Power Clean and Back Squat. Least Favorite Movement/WOD: Overhead Squat,  Double Unders My proudest moment so far: Rx’ing Murph  3 times to date! What is your favorite thing about CrossFit? I was never a big gym guy so I like how CrossFit is prgrammed for you. Just show up and do the WOD and you are out in an hour or less. Plus the variety of the WOD’s work all parts of the body What are you current goals? To continue improving my overall physical fitness so I can preform my duties as a firefighter without putting myself or other at risk of injury. I definitely noticed an increase in my endurance since joining swarm, What were your thoughts after your first CrossFit workout? ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT : TARA HALL   Tell us a little about yourself (occupation, family, hobbies, etc). I am a busy mom to 3, Joshua 23, Jaymee 14 (whom just started at Swarm) and Dillon 11. We own our own business, my husband calls it a “Fine Auto Recycling Facility”, so I can make my own hours. I love anything to do with the outdoors and water! How was I Introduced to CrossFit Swarm? I was doing small group classes at a place in Chicopee and wanted something closer to home/work with flexible hours. I contacted a friend that goes to Swarm. She answered a bunch of my questions & told me to give it a try that I would love it. She was right, thanks Moja! How long have you been CrossFitting? I started at the end of Oct 2013. Had to take a couple months off last summer and a couple months off this year. My favorite Movement/WODs Thrusters & tabatas Least Favorite Movement/WOD: BURPEES! & Over-head Squats My proudest moment so far: Not really a moment but a bunch of moments since I have come back from my broken ankle. Since my break on 1/12/15 I have PR’d all my lifts…ALL OF THEM. Not sure how I am now stronger than BEFORE the break but I am! What is your favorite thing about CrossFit? Athlete Spotlight:  MaryAnn Tell us a little about yourself (occupation, family, hobbies, etc). I’m 30 years old and a single parent. For the past 5 and a half years I’ve been working at Noble Sports and Rehab as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Growing up I was a gymnast for many years and then coached gymnastics for 13 years.  I love to go hiking and biking with my family. Always looking up different healthy recipes to try. I heard an ad on the radio for CrossFit and I asked my sister if she knew what CrossFit was. Her response was there was one in Westfield, we go on Thursday! How long have you been CrossFitting?
